    Pick a size, difficulty and optional theme and the app builds a new crossword on demand. A custom puzzle is an optional purchase.

  • Private and offline

    No account and no cloud sync. Your puzzles and progress stay on your device, and solving works without a connection. The app shows ads and offers optional purchases; the privacy policy spells out exactly what is sent and when.

Is Ultimate Crossword free?

The three daily puzzles are free and supported by ads. Remove Ads, the full archive and custom puzzles are optional purchases.

Do I need an account?

No. There’s no sign-in and no cloud sync. Your puzzles, progress and statistics stay on your device.

Does it work offline?

Solving works without a connection once a puzzle is on your device. Fetching the day’s puzzles and generating a custom one need a connection.

Which puzzle files can I import?

Both .puz and .ipuz files.

What does the app send off my device?

Very little, and all of it is listed in the privacy policy, including what the ad network collects. We don’t sell your data or track you across other apps or websites.
